What happens

Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles investigate a series of raids on freight wagons along the Oregon Trail. They come across Kate Williams, owner of the Oregon Trail Freight Line, who has lost a wagon loaded with wagon parts to raiders. Bill suspects the attacks are not the work of Indians, and his questions lead him to Ace Batty, a wagon repairman in Shawnee. The series, Wild Bill Hickok, starred Guy Madison as Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles. This episode first aired on January 9, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
