What happens

Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles travel to Spring Canyon to investigate a run of accidents plaguing the red wagon freight line owned by the late Jeff Skinner. They rescue Skinner's daughter, Laura, after a burning wagon runs out of control, and they soon suspect that the accidents were deliberately planned. Hickok and Jingles stay alert to the danger that surrounds the freight line and the rival operator Big Pete Sanchez. Guy Madison and Andy Devine star in the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, and this episode first aired on April 29, 1951.

Spring Canyon, a mountain freight route in the Old West

Listen for: Hickok's warning that the freight accidents were not really accidents, and the masked men who attack the wagon near the mountain pass

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
