What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his pal Jingles investigate the death of prospector Careful Smith, whose mine caved in, and the later killing of Jim Harris, who had reason to doubt the accident. Silver City is the setting, and a knife thrown at the marshal with a warning note suggests someone wants them to leave town. Bill and Jingles visit the abandoned mine and begin piecing together what happened there. The series is Wild Bill Hickok, a radio western first broadcast on May 6, 1951, starring Guy Madison and Andy Devine.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
