What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles return from a dance in their honor at the Skinner Ranch and are ambushed on the trail. Earlier, the townsfolk of Rainbow Falls had been uneasy about Mrs. Skinner's plan to hire Jimmy Cloud, a former prisoner who once vowed revenge on Hickok. Hickok and Jingles investigate the ambush, the fire at the marshal's office and a stolen cattle payroll, and find themselves questioning Cloud, who was just released from prison. The story is told in the classic Wild Bill Hickok radio series, first aired on April 22, 1951, with Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
