What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his partner Jingles come upon a wagon fight near their camp on the western plains. Captain Elias Howe and his first mate Mr. Smythe, of the clipper China Queen, claim thieves attacked them to steal papers needed to free their ship from a debt. The papers must reach San Francisco by telegraph within ten days, but the telegraph lines are down because of floods. Wild Bill and Jingles set out with the captain and his mate, and the two lawmen begin to suspect that Smythe is not as honest as he seems. Wild Bill Hickok stars Guy Madison, with Andy Devine as Jingles, and this episode aired on November 26, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
