What happens

United States Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles travel to Hangtown to collect a prisoner, Bart Blackwell, wanted for a shooting in Fort Dodge. The local judge sentences Blackwell to sixty days in the Longhorn County jail, and the sheriff refuses to release him. Hickok plans to telegraph the state capital for an order, but someone takes shots at him in the street. Wild Bill Hickok, starring Guy Madison as Hickok and Andy Devine as Jingles, is a Kellogg's Rice Krispies sponsored program from 1952. Hickok begins to suspect that the town's officials are profiting from the criminals held in its jail.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
