What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles are called to Carterville, where Bessie Dean has asked for help. Her husband Digby has gone to Dry Lake to recover county records that were stolen from the Carterville courthouse. The lawmen trace the trouble to King Granite and his gunmen, who want the county seat moved to Dry Lake. Wild Bill and Jingles ride into the town, question suspicious residents and search for Digby, who has gone missing. The series, a 1952 radio western, stars Guy Madison and Andy Devine, and the story is set in Murrock County during the old West. The episode's first portion follows the lawmen as they move through the town looking for answers.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
