What happens

On Christmas Eve, United States Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his partner Jingles are guests at the ranch of John and Mary Duncan and their young son Tommy. Neighbor Floyd Grudge comes to collect money owed to him, and warns that Tommy has been wandering about in shiny armor. Tommy then asks Bill and Jingles to join him on a dangerous mission to Shadowland, a place deep within people's hearts. Wild Bill Hickok is a Guy Madison radio adventure, and this episode of the series is a 1951 Christmas story, with Andy Devine as Jingles.

The Duncan ranch in the West, and the imaginary realm of Shadowland on Christmas Eve

Listen for: Tommy's nightly prayer, the gatehouse keeper's announcements, and Mr. Grudge's Christmas morning letter

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
