What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ride toward the town of Danville after a telegram from Sheriff Sadie Blake. Along the way they meet two prospectors at a cave, where they hear a man calling for help from inside. The sheriff, who runs her own cafe, tells them that rancher John Martin left a letter with her and has not returned as expected. Her ranch foreman, Rody, becomes central to the case. The series, Wild Bill Hickok, aired on April 7, 1954, starring Guy Madison and Andy Devine.

Listen for: Sheriff Sadie Blake's cafe and her dealings with Wild Bill and Jingles.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
