What happens

Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles come upon a wagon train stranded in a Nevada blizzard after hearing shots fired in the snow. The settlers have lost their guide, Bart Maddox, and their food and fuel are running out. Curly Gavin resists the lawmen's efforts to lead the train toward Battle Mountain, and tensions rise as the storm worsens. Bill and Jingles must keep the wagons moving through the snow while uncovering who among the group can be trusted.

A snowstorm in Nevada, on a trail toward Battle Mountain, during a blizzard in winter.

Characters: Wild Bill Hickok, Jingles, Jed Thomas, Jeannie, Curly Gavin, Bart Maddox

Listen for: The sound of gunshots in the blizzard, and the exchange between Bill and Jingles as they follow the signal to the stranded wagon train.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
