What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ride to California after a letter from an old friend, Don Gaspar de Salvo, asks for their help. Gaspar says a traitor is stirring revolt against the United States, and two army lieutenants sent to help him have been found dead with knives in their backs. The lawmen are warned away by a masked stranger, then arrive at Gaspar's rancho, where a knife is thrown through the window during their meal. Conchita, Gaspar's daughter, becomes frightened as the evening goes on, and Pedro, a young man in the household, is caught up in the events. The episode is a 1952 transcribed adventure from the Wild Bill Hickok series, with Guy Madison and Andy Devine in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
