What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles are called to the town of Paiute Falls by Banker Pennyworth, whose gold is vanishing from a guarded vault. Pennyworth is angry that a noisy mill run by an eccentric inventor, Lamb Craswell, is disturbing the town. Upon arrival, Bill and Jingles visit the mill, where Craswell claims to be making gold with his machine, and a nearly fatal accident follows. Later, a rock thrown through the hotel window carries a warning to leave town. The story is a 1952 episode of the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, starring Guy Madison and Andy Devine, first aired on March 28, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
