What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles go to a dentist in Black Butte after Jingles complains of a toothache. Their visit is interrupted when Sheriff Peter Penrose asks them to help solve the murder of Monty Taylor, a rancher found shot in a cave. Starting with a boy named Pudge, who is Monty's son, the pair question the widow Lydia Taylor and a local banker. Wild Bill begins to suspect a link between the killing and the dentist. This is the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, first broadcast on April 9, 1952, with Guy Madison and Andy Devine as the lead voices.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
