What happens

Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles learn that Miss Petty, a dress shop owner they know well, has been kidnapped from her store. Following the trail of her captors, the two lawmen soon realize they are riding into a trap set to ambush them. Bill begins to suspect that the trap was meant for them rather than for Miss Petty, and he starts weighing which local figure might have a reason to want them dead. Guy Madison plays Wild Bill and Andy Devine plays Jingles in this Wild Bill Hickok adventure, first broadcast on December 17, 1954.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
