What happens
Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles are hunting wild horses in the mesa country when Bill's horse leaps off a cliff into a river, and the two men only just escape. Shortly after, a rider arrives with a note meant for someone else, telling them to stop a stagecoach at a bend in the road. Believing they have been mistaken for outlaws, Bill and Jingles set out to find out who is behind the plan. The story is part of the Wild Bill Hickok series, first broadcast on April 17, 1953, with Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles.
The western mesa country and the town of Willow Springs, where a stagecoach route and a livery stable are the scene of gunfights.

Listen for: The note that sends Bill and Jingles to the bend in the road, and the way they are mistaken for outlaws.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
