What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his sidekick Jingles ride toward the town of Dragoon to help Sheriff Rod Roberts, but they are stopped at its edge and arrested for the very killing they came to investigate. Thrown into the Dragoon jail, they learn that Roberts has been dead for three days and that his deputy, Buckner, now wears the badge. Released on condition that they leave town, the pair soon find themselves drawn to the deserted settlement of King City, where a girl named Susan Foley and her father, the prospector Goofy, offer them shelter. Wild Bill Hickok is played by Guy Madison and Jingles by Andy Divine. The episode aired on July 8, 1951.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
