What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles find a crawling baby girl near Walt Mason's ranch, clutching a gold nugget and with a bloodstained dress. Hickok sets out to learn where the child came from, and a visiting stranger named Marty arrives demanding the baby back. Walt recalls a legend of a lost Portuguese gold mine near Arroyo Diablo. The Wild Bill Hickok series aired this episode on July 1, 1951, starring Guy Madison as Hickok and Andy Devine as Jingles.
