What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ride north from the Rio Grande after a border clean-up, when they hear of a gang of young bandits holding up stores and riders on the road. Their trail leads to the Circle T ranch of Shorty Morrison, whose son Ted has grown restless and wants nothing to do with the spread. Ted falls in with two older drifters at a carnival, Kino McCoy and Bunky Adams, and the three begin robbing travelers. Wild Bill and Jingles follow the trail back toward the ranch as tensions rise between the young riders and the men they have recruited.
Texas, along the Rio Grande and the Circle T ranch, with a carnival in town.
Characters: Wild Bill Hickok, Jingles, Shorty Morrison, Ted Morrison, Kino McCoy, Bunky Adams
Listen for: The confrontation at the Circle T ranch, when Kino McCoy's loaded gun and his partner's words expose who fired the fatal shot.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
