What happens

Britt Ponsett returns to Yellow Crest after months on the range and discovers that Helen Bricker, a woman from his past, has returned to town as the wife of Billy Stark, a man recently arrested and imprisoned at Fort Bryan. The townspeople shun her for her association with Stark, and Britt finds himself caught between old acquaintance and community disapproval.
