What happens

Britt Ponset arrives in Smoke Falls for a charity box supper auction, where a rivalry erupts between two men bidding for a meal with the pretty Ellen Proudly. Before the evening ends, a prisoner named Dean Paul escapes from jail and shoots the local sheriff, leaving the wounded lawman asking for Britt by name.
