What happens

At a celebration on the Red Horse Ranch, Dad Carter hosts a barn dance after the stolen herd has been recovered and sold, saving the ranch for another year. Alabama, one of the ranch hands, finds that Rose Parker has grown cool toward him, and he learns she overheard a private conversation he had with Tenderfoot. A sheriff arrives and confronts Alabama over his plans to bring the young Dawson boy to the ranch, saying the boy will grow up like his father. Dancing, singing and joking fill the evening, and a stranger then asks to see Alabama on urgent business. The story is set in the Red Horse Ranch series.

The Red Horse Ranch house and grounds during a barn dance in the evening, with the Pankos Valley and Santa Fe town mentioned in the distance.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
