What happens

Alabama and Tenderfoot track Red, a wild horse Alabama once roped and tamed, as he leaves the Red Horse Ranch corral and runs into the hills to join a band of wild horses. Back at the ranch, the hands sing and trade jokes while Alabama and Tenderfoot both show interest in Rose Carter. Tenderfoot worries about Alabama's feelings for Rose, and the two men also debate whether young Trigger Dawson deserves a second chance. Red Horse Ranch is a western radio drama, and this episode ends with an invitation to a barn dance at the ranch house.

The Red Horse Ranch, its corral and the surrounding hills and prairie, and the ranch house and its yard at night.

Characters: Alabama, Tenderfoot, Rose Carter, Red, Idaho, Bob, Trigger Dawson

Listen for: Alabama's account of taming Red, and Tenderfoot's question to Alabama about Rose.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
