What happens

On the last night of a cattle drive, the cowboys of the Red Horse Ranch gather around the campfire and sing. Trouble comes when the cook's chuck wagon sinks into mud by the creek, and the crew hurries to pull it free. Later, the men grow uneasy about Steve Bradford, who is in charge of the outfit and has been at odds with Alabama and with the ranch's owner, Mr. Carter. Bradford orders the crew to stay near camp. When a sudden stampede threatens the herd, Bradford insists that his men hold back, and the cowboys question his choice.

A cattle drive on the Texas trail, camped near a creek at night, with the herd bedded down nearby on the last night before reaching the Red Horse Ranch.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
