What happens

Alabam and Tenderfoot ride night guard over a herd for the Red Horse Ranch outfit while the other hands sing around the campfire. Alabam came out to the rounder despite the orders of Mr. Carter and Steve Bradford, who had put Bradford in charge after Alabam's injury. As they keep the cattle calm under the stars, Tenderfoot talks about his fondness for the open range and for Rose, and Alabam wonders aloud whether Bradford can be trusted. The two also discuss a letter sent to the El Paso sheriff about Bradford's past.

Night on a cattle roundup for the Red Horse Ranch, with the herd bedded down under the open sky and the hands singing at the campfire.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
