What happens

Red Horse Ranch is preparing for its spring roundup. Mr. Carter has put foreman Steve Bradford in charge of the outfit in place of Alabam, who is recovering from an injury. Alabam is left behind at the ranch, and Carter is unaware that Bradford was responsible for that head injury. Rose wishes to see the riders off, and the cowboys gather at the wagons, singing as they prepare to leave. Alabam speaks privately with Carter, and the cowboys express suspicion about Bradford's motives. The ranch hands doubt Bradford's intentions in the valley, and they pledge their loyalty to Alabam as the outfit rides out.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
