What happens

Alabama, a ranch hand on the Red Horse Ranch, lies injured in the bunkhouse after an altercation with Steve Bradford, though he tells the outfit he simply grew dizzy and fell from his horse. His friends keep him company with songs while Arizona, who has been reading a book, puts on a ventriloquist act that baffles the cowhands and Cookie. Mr. Carter then arrives and announces that Bradford will take charge of the outfit during the roundup until Alabama is back on his feet. The men resent the arrangement, and Idaho vows to act against Bradford, while Alabama's intentions remain unclear.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
