What happens
Stephen Bradford presses Mr. Carter to sell the Red Horse Ranch after rustlers have driven off part of the herd. The ranch hands wait out the rain in the bunkhouse, playing music and talking about Alabama, who has been acting strangely around his horse. Alabama asks Carter to delay the sale of the ranch by one more week, saying he believes he can secure enough money to pay off Carter's overdue loan. Carter agrees, though Alabama will not yet explain what he has in mind. The episode ends with Carter's decision to wait and with Bradford's motives still unexplained.
