What happens
Carter and his ranch crew head to Danville for the rodeo, leaving the Red Horse Ranch quiet for a few days. Alabama is eager to race his horse Red against an eastern horse entered by Steve Bradford, and Rose plans to ride in the races too. Cookie is entering the greased pig contest, and the boys sing and joke as the wagons roll out. Along the way, the ranch hands trade tall tales and banter about who will win. The transcript covers only the start of the trip, so the rodeo itself and the races remain ahead.
