What happens
On the Red Horse Ranch, the cowhands sing on the veranda while they wait for Alabama and Tenderfoot to return. Tenderfoot, who loves Rose Carter, has ridden away believing he stands in the way of Alabama, who also cares for her. Rose blames herself and feels deeply troubled by his leaving. Alabama rides out to bring Tenderfoot home, and the boys try to lift Rose's spirits with music. Tenderfoot returns and is welcomed back. The ranch then learns that the outfit is heading to a rodeo at Danville, where Alabama is to race and Bradford has been boasting about his own horse.
The Red Horse Ranch, with its ranch house veranda, and later the rodeo at Danville.
Characters: Tenderfoot, Alabama, Rose Carter, Idaho, Dewey, Arizona, Julie, Liz
Listen for: Rose's worry over Tenderfoot's departure, the boys singing on the veranda, and the news of the Danville rodeo race.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
