What happens
On the last night of a cattle roundup, the cowboys of the Red Horse Ranch sit around the campfire, singing and bickering with the cook over food. Steve Bradford, who is in charge of the outfit, has earned the crew's distrust after pressuring Mr. Carter to sell the ranch. Alabama is still recovering and is expected to join them soon. When gunshots ring out near the herd and riders are seen moving toward the cattle, the men ride out to investigate, while Bradford insists on giving the orders himself.
A cattle drive on the Old Texas Trail, camped at night near a creek, on the last night before the herd reaches the Red Horse Ranch.
