What happens
On the Red Horse Ranch, the cowhands pass a slow afternoon at the bunkhouse. Arizona struggles to write a letter and asks his friends how to spell ventriloquist, which sets off some good-natured teasing. Later, Alabama reports finding stray cattle on the neighboring B Bar D range, bearing signs that someone has been changing their brands. The men worry about rustling and discuss their wages and the ranch's future. Bradford's hostility since Carter turned down his offer for the ranch makes them uneasy, so Alabama decides to ride over the next morning. The transcript ends before anything is found.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
