What happens

On the Red Horse Ranch, Carter is undecided about selling to Steve Bradford, while his foreman Alabama looks into why Bradford wants the property. As the ranch hands sing, Rose, Carter's sister, rides out on the horse Blackie, and when Blackie bolts toward a draw, Alabama and the others race after her. Steve Bradford intervenes and brings Rose to safety. Shots have been fired during the chase, and the men are left wondering who fired them.

The Red Horse Ranch, its pasture corral, and the surrounding countryside.

Characters: Carter, Alabama, Steve Bradford, Rose, Arizona, Bob, Cheyenne

Listen for: Steve Bradford's offer to buy the ranch and the shots fired during Rose's runaway ride.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
