What happens

On the Red Horse Ranch, Arizona is sore and sullen after being thrown by Red, Alabam's roan horse, and the bunkhouse hands tease him about it. The men pass the evening with songs, including a turnip greens tune and a cowboy's dream, while Tenderfoot is absent, courting Rose Carter. Rose and Steve Bradford talk on the porch about her father's struggling ranch and Bradford's offer to buy it. Their talk is cut short when Alabam arrives and clashes with Bradford over a charge that he has been spying on Bradford's land. The episode is part of the Red Horse Ranch series.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
