What happens

Alabam, a hand on the Red Horse Ranch, believes he has found signs of oil on the ranch with the help of his roan horse. He has sworn the other boys to secrecy and will not tell Mr. Carter or Rose what he has discovered. When Alabam announces that he will ride to Danville, Rose asks to come along, and he hesitates before agreeing to explain later. The boys discuss his plans and the rodeo coming up in Danville, and Alabam says he expects to learn something important there.

Listen for: Alabam's plans in Danville and the letter he expects to receive there

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
