What happens

Alabama rides into Danville against Sam Carter's wishes, leaving the other ranch hands to guard the Red Horse herd, while Tenderfoot accompanies him. Alabama expects a letter at the Danville post office concerning Steve Bradford, who is still trying to buy the Red Horse Ranch. In town, Alabama recognizes Bradford outside a saloon and goes to speak with him privately. The conversation turns tense, as Alabama presses Bradford about his affairs in El Paso and the letter he carries. Bradford's associate Hank joins them, and matters quickly grow violent.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
