What happens

On the Red Horse Ranch, the cowboys are puzzled over who fired the shots that sent Rose's horse running, until Steve Bradford arrived and pulled her from the runaway horse. Alabama is troubled and suspects something is wrong, while Red, the ranch horse, has mysteriously vanished and then reappeared in the corral. Alabama confides in Tenderfoot, and the two begin to suspect a motive behind the shots. Rose, meanwhile, is upset because Steve Bradford wants her father, Sam Carter, to sell the ranch. Rose's father has been given until the next night to give his answer.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
