What happens
Sam Carter faces a hard choice on the Red Horse Ranch, where his finances have suffered over the winter. His daughter Rose sits with him on the veranda at evening, and they talk about the ranch hands singing in the bunkhouse and the family's worries. Steve Bradford arrives having made an offer to buy the ranch for cash, and he presses Carter for an answer. Rose pleads with her father not to decide yet, while Bradford's reasons for wanting so much land in the area remain unclear. Carter must weigh the sale against keeping the ranch and his daughter's schooling. The episode is one of the Red Horse Ranch series.
