What happens

Paladin is hired by a desperate rancher facing a severe drought to help protect his water supply. When a young gunman named Calvert arrives in town and kills the rancher's hand, Paladin discovers the rancher expects him to act as an executioner rather than solve the real problem threatening the ranch.
