What happens

J.B. Kendall and fellow stagecoach passengers are detained in Shoshone by Deputy Sheriff CB Belljoy, who believes the person who robbed the Bearclaw saloon of fifty dollars escaped on their stage. Belljoy, who serves as sheriff, judge, jury, and mayor, conducts a kangaroo court to determine which passenger is guilty. When one traveler is sentenced to two years in jail, Kendall finds himself imprisoned and awaiting further developments.

Characters: J.B. Kendall, CB Belljoy, Mr. Black, Willis, Charlie, Paul, Ben Johnson

Listen for: The absurd workings of Belljoy's one-man justice system and how Kendall and the other passengers respond to being held and tried for a crime they didn't commit.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
