What happens
J.B. Kendall arrives in Rotten Head Gulch on voting day and discovers the town is casting ballots to keep their school teacher, Miss Jones, rather than have her reassigned to the rival town of Goose Creek. The miners have enlisted Kendall as an emergency voter to help them outnumber Goose Creek's ballot count, but Miss Jones arrives and demands an honest election.
Rotten Head Gulch, a small mining town in the West, at Dirty Charlie's Saloon and the local schoolhouse
Characters: J.B. Kendall, Miss Jones, Jim, Buck, Shorty, George
Listen for: The conflict between the miners' scheme to pad the ballot and Miss Jones's insistence on election integrity; Kendall's discovery that the schoolhouse teaches 20 grown men rather than children
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
