What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles help rancher Dad McLean get his herd of 3,000 cattle north to the railhead after bad luck leaves him without a cook. Before the drive starts, a buyer named Top Money Bronson offers a low price for the herd and threatens trouble when McLean refuses. The series is Wild Bill Hickok, first broadcast on July 22, 1951, with Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles. The story follows the drive as strange riders shadow the herd and a fake inspector appears with claims of disease.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
