What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles arrive at the Copperville mining camp, where they meet the mine owner Bart Langley after a brief quarrel over his mistreatment of a horse. Langley invites them to a steak dinner prepared by his cook, but Bill and Jingles discover the seasoning contains rat poison. The lawmen pretend to be asleep in their beds while they investigate the mine. Their inquiries lead them to the mill, where Jingles has a dangerous mishap with the conveyor, and then into a tunnel where they find the former owner, Wilson, held captive. The series' Wild Bill Hickok stars Guy Madison, with Andy Devine as Jingles, in an episode first broadcast on October 17, 1952.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
