What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his partner Jingles accept an invitation to visit their old wartime acquaintance Colonel Chandler, a horse breeder, but find trouble on the ranch. Chandler's foreman Curly Dawson draws on Hickok and is disarmed, and Bill and Jingles soon learn that the Colonel is dead and that Curly is pressing a quick sale of the ranch's horses. Hickok is suspicious of a letter giving Curly authority over the ranch. This is the Wild Bill Hickok radio serial, broadcast on October 15, 1952, with Guy Madison as Hickok and Andy Devine as Jingles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
