What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ride through Rawhide Canyon and meet a gruff old prospector named Goldie, who is building a dam across the creek. Shots suddenly ring out from the rocks, and the two lawmen take cover behind boulders. Back in Rugglesville, Sheriff Johnson explains that a gang has been holding up stagecoaches carrying gold shipments and escaping with the payroll. Wild Bill and Jingles decide to return to the canyon and question Goldie, who has been working on his dam near the spot where the gunmen attacked them. The episode is part of the Wild Bill Hickok radio series from the 1950s, starring Guy Madison and Andy Devine. It aired on June 12, 1953.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
