What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles arrive in the western town of Red Rock and are asked to stay and help stop gold thieves who have been robbing the high pocket mine's shipments for three months. Their horses are stolen during the night, and a wagon driver is held up again. Bill and Jingles meet Race Taggart, co-owner of the mine, who names the partners in the business and speaks of the losses. The Wild Bill Hickok series is heard here in a transcribed episode, with Guy Madison as Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles, and the story continues past this point.

The western town of Red Rock, with its hotel, saloon and the high pocket mine, and the trail to the north near the camel humps

Characters: Wild Bill Hickok, Jingles, Belle, Race Taggart, Mike McGinty, Shad Martin, Al Jackson

Listen for: Bill's clue about why someone would want so much gold, and the scene at the camel humps where the horses are found

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
