What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his sidekick Jingles ride toward Flat Rock City after receiving word that their old friend Pappy Sparks is in danger. Pete Jennings and his gang have been raiding the town, and Pappy is wounded while trying to stop them. Hickok arrives to find the town frightened and unwilling to form a posse against the outlaws. Jennings's gang holds out in a fortified hideout on Devil's Mountain. Hickok tries to reason with the outlaw leader, and the town debates whether the marshal should stay. The story is part of the Wild Bill Hickok series and features Guy Madison as Hickok and Andy Devine as Jingles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
