What happens
United States Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles travel to Devil Canyon to find White Water Sam, a river man who knows the dangerous rapids. Other men have vanished on the river, and Bill suspects smugglers are using the high water to move goods across the Canadian border. Despite a warning note telling them to stay away, Bill insists on going through the rapids by boat. The episode is part of the Wild Bill Hickok series, first broadcast on June 19, 1953, with Guy Madison as Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles. Bill and Jingles face a series of rapids and then a barrel of blasting powder drifting toward them, while shots come from the cliffs above.
The river and canyons of Devil Canyon, in the old American West, where the river runs through Green Valley across the Canadian border.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
