What happens

United States Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles have set up a new office in Santa Fe. Their old friend Grandpa Granger, a retired sheriff, drops by, talks loudly about his past, and then fires his big revolvers through the office window after someone shoots at them from outside. Wild Bill and Jingles chase the gunman down and bring him in, and the man names Case Jenkins as the one who hired him. The two lawmen confront Jenkins, who denies any part in the attack. The episode is part of the Wild Bill Hickok radio series, which originally aired on January 26, 1953, with Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
