What happens
Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles investigate a land scheme in Grass Valley, where Benson sells pasture land to newcomers from the East after a wet spell has turned the grass green. Hickok sees through the swindle, and Benson orders the lawmen off his land and fires a shot at them. Hickok then sets up an office as land advisors next door to Benson's business, giving free warnings to buyers. Dr. Hubert Erwin, a teacher who has bought four sections from Benson, comes to them seeking help recovering his savings. The series, a Hollywood radio production with Guy Madison as Wild Bill and Andy Devine as Jingles, aired on 1953-02-16.
