What happens

Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles arrive in the town of Pleasantville, expecting a telegram from Abilene. Their arrival draws attention, and Dr. T. Buddington Choose, a traveling medicine show man, takes a keen interest in Jingles. When a telegram arrives warning of two confidence men operating in the area, Bill sets out to find them. The pair have already been drawn into a string of sharp dealings, including a stolen watch and a fight at the medicine show. The story follows Bill as he hunts for those responsible for swindling a local widow out of her savings.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
